Powell (P.R., Bob) R. Anderson

Rochester:  January 10, 2024 at the age of 85.

P.R. is predeceased by his daughter, Laura, and sister, Sarah Jane. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Melania (“Lani”); daughter, Heather Heffernan; four grandchildren Melania (Joseph) DeLallo, Daniel (Kristy) Heffernan IV, Kerry (Matthew) McMillan, and Hannah Heffernan; and great-grandchildren Aliyah, Emily, Kova, Daniel V, and Zion. He also is survived by his sister, Kathleen Anderson, and three nephews.

Born in Meadville, Pennsylvania P.R. also lived in Minnesota, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C. while growing up and graduated from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) in 1960. Immediately after graduation, he entered the U.S. Army as a Second Lieutenant. After P.R. attended Army courses, he married Lani in October of 1960 and was stationed in Munich, Germany for three years. He left the Army in 1963, and joined Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, New York as a computer programmer. During his employment, P.R. and his family spent three years in England. He retired from Kodak in 1991 as Director of Payroll and Personnel Data. In retirement, P.R. spent many happy years doing things he loved. Spending time with his wife, two daughters and four grandchildren was at the top of the list, especially at the family cottage on Keuka Lake. He played tennis, golf, visited with friends, traveled and was a member of Asbury First Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 17th, 2024 at 3pm at Asbury First United Methodist Church. 1050 East Avenue, Rochester, NY, 14607.
