Obituary for Donald Kreinsen

Passed away August 25, 2017 in Mechanicsville, VA. Born in Cambridge MA. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Mary Kreinsen, and his wife, Loretta in June 2016. He is survived by his sons, Charles (Robin) and Eugene (Janet); daughters, Marianne (David) Odgen and Elyse (Steve) Gefell; 12 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Don was a graduate of Boston College 1951. He proudly served in the U.S. Army 1951-1954 during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion Cottreall-Warner Post 942.

Don ran track in college and was a Basketball Coach at St. John the Evangelists from 1968-1973. He enjoyed fishing, reading, history and spending time with his family. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red-Sox, Celtics, Bruins and the New England Patriots. He was also a lifelong Citizen of the Red Sox Nation.

Friends may call Thur Sept. 7th from 4-7 pm at Crawford Funeral Home, 495 Winton Rd. N. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday Sept 8th, 10 am. at Peace of Christ Parish at St. John the Evangelists Church, 549 Humbolt St. Interment at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the M.S. Foundation.
