Obituary for Madeline J. Wheeler

Madeline Wheeler, born in Rochester, NY passed peacefully on July 5, 2017. Known as Mag to her family and friends, she was an avid Sunday Bible teacher, an excellent knitter, a frugal shopper; but, most of all a loving and devoted Aunt. Despite becoming blind at age 16, Madeline worked for the Monroe County Welfare Department until retirement.

Madeline is predeceased by her parents, Johanna and Charles A. Embrey and her brother, Henry I. Embrey.

She is survived by her brother, Charles J. Embrey and his wife, Romaine of Delaware; devoted caregiver nephew, Alan Embrey and his wife, Stacy and their children, Justin and Alyssa of Webster, NY. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Marlene Moss of New Hampshire, Jeannine Robling of Indiana, and Robert Embrey of Maryland.

Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to The Friendly Home, 3156 East Ave., Rochester, NY 14618.
