The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Florence Palzer can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Debbie Agnello
Condolence: Florence has been part of my life for 61 years. As a kid, I slept as many nights under her roof as I did my own. When I was 13, she gave me my first job...as an aide at Martin Manor. By watching her with her patients, I learned that the most important thing you can do for senior citizens is preserve their dignity. She treated them all with respect and care. I took this lesson into my adult years. If you knew Florence, you know she'd have rather laughed than complained. And, laugh she did. She made us laugh, too...at everything. And, she could be irreverent when she did it. That was the best part of laughing with Florence...she took no prisoners. No one was safe from her appraising eye. The last time I saw her was in July, at the hairdresser's. She bounded in the door, in her jeans and sneakers, plopped herself in the chair for a styling, looking for all the world exactly the same as she always had when I was growing up. The last thing I remember as she flew out the door. what the iconic head of red hair and her sunglasses...on her way to day on the lake. Florence Palzer...she was EVERYONE'S mother. I'll miss her laugh so much. With love, Deb

Condolence: I so loved Florence she will remain in my heart forever. She was a great mentor in nursing & a genuine wonderful person. When I graduated nursing school she was there to show her support. She cared about Beechwood their pt's & staff alike. The wonderful way that many of Beechwoods employees stayed connected to her after it closed is a statement of that. I could always go visit her and get an up date of all that had happened. I cherish the time we spent together. I will miss her greatly. I'm thanking God I saw her 4 1/2 months ago but that was still to long.
